The scholar who holds the professorship will be a key faculty member of distinguished reputation who will engage in teaching, research, and scholarly activities relating to economics.The professorship is endowed, open to any field in economics, and carries a three-course teaching load.This is a nine-month tenured position with an anticipated start date of August 8, 2024.Minimum Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in economics or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Nationally recognized as an expert in economics with a publication record consistent with a tenured associate or full professor in the UCF Department of Economics.
• A record of excellence in teaching as demonstrated by past departmental, college, university or professional association recognition for contributions to teaching.
• A record of working with Ph.D. students in economics or related disciplines.Preferred Qualifications:
  • A publication record that demonstrates the ability to publish in the best general interest or field journals in economics.
  • The ability to reach and inspire heterogeneous students whose training varies substantially.
