We are seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will:--- Design, integrate, and test GNC, tracking, and/or servo control algorithm solutions for missile and fire control products--- Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations (6-DOF) and effects-based simulations--- Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements--- Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities--- Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities--- Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position. You must demonstrate the ability to perform one or more of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) or Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments:--- Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithms--- Develop, verify, and validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations--- Demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C++, Matlab, Python--- Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformationDesired Skills:--- Proficiency with C++ programming, Matlab, Python, Linux, and CSF/CMD architecture--- Ability to perform preflight system performance assessment and post flight verification analyses--- Experience designing and analyzing target tracking and terrestrial navigation systems--- Experience with optimal state estimation filters such as extended Kalman filters (EKF)Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: Secret Other Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
