ProActive Technologies is seeking experienced multiple 3D Graphic Artists to join our fast-growing team! We have immediate openings for full-time, 3D Graphic Artist II and Senior 3D Graphic Artist to support upcoming programs and projects. Here's the Scoop: Our need is for Level II (4+ years' experience) or Senior Level (10+ year experience) with a focus on texturing and real-time art for simulation and game development using Unity and UnReal game engines. Candidates will be highly skills in In addition to your expertise, you will serve as a coach/mentor to Level I artists. The overall goal is to provide quality 3D content for realistic and game-like training simulations. This position will be based out of our headquarters located in Oviedo, Florida and maintain a hybrid approach with part-time in-office work hours (at minimum) required. 3D Graphic Artist II Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze specifications to derive graphics/visual content requirements. Ability to use requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS and Microsoft Team Foundation Server [TFS]). You will be able to both work independently and within a cooperative team environment with other artists and engineers. using appropriate tools that fully satisfy the allocated and derived requirements for appearance, behavior, and performance. Proactively communicate with supervisor of progress on milestones associated with each assigned task using formal periodic reports. Advise and assist junior content developers in overcoming challenges in the areas of tools use, content pipeline, and configuration management. Prepare documentation, data, and presentation material needed to support design reviews. Successfully and succinctly present technical information to all personnel levels. Develop and modify test procedures to validate the functional correctness and desired performance of the final product. Support testing at all levels (e.g., unit, functional, system and Hardware/Software Integration [HSI]), test readiness reviews, and customers' acceptance testing. Perform the resolution of assigned in-house and customer-noted discrepancies/deficiencies. Support the delivery of assigned items required by the Technical Support Data Package and the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL). Assist technical writers with documenting visual contents' design, interfaces, and use. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent Portfolio with relevant examples of 3D Modeling, Four (4) or more years of modeling experience for image generators and game engines in a simulation and training system environment. U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining US Department of Defense (DoD) secret security clearance through ProActive Technologies Inc. 4+ Years of experience in the following: Software: Autodesk Maya, Modo, or 3DS Max Unity3D and Unreal Substance Designer or Painter Marmoset Adobe CC DOORS and Microsoft Team Foundation Server [TFS] 3D Skills: Hard Surface Real-time Modeling, High poly modeling, UVW Unwrapping, Light Mapping, Basic understanding of multi-sub texturing and Animation 2D Skills: Experienced in Photorealistic Texturing, Physical Based Materials, Texture Maps and Photo Manipulation Scripting: Basic experience using C#, LUA or Java Script. Game Engine Skills: Realistic Level Design, Real-time Lighting, Character Editing & Animation, Layer/File Structure, Procedural Textures/Materials, Shader Functionality Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of or fluency in Flight/weapon simulation systems (e.g., OFT, WST, real-time executives, distributed interactive simulation, avionics, I/O, aural cueing systems, multi-function displays interface) Gaming engine (e.g., Unity, Unreal, Cry engine) Experience in a work environment that practices industry standard operations ISO 9001:2008 CMMI Waterfall Spiral Agile development methods 3D Graphics Artist Senior The 3D Graphics Artist Senior is expected to lead the Graphics team while following company and industry standard (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, CMMI, Waterfall, and Agile development methods) analysis, design, and development techniques to design and develop complex visual content for surface and subsurface trainers. Analyzes customers' specifications to derive graphics/visual content requirements. Develop requirements specifications, graphics processes, test plans, perform feasibility studies on design approaches, and evaluate interrelationship of system software with visual content. Use requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS and Microsoft Team Foundation Server). Works independently to lead the design and efficiently develop graphics/visual content (e.g., models and databases) using appropriate tools (e.g., 3dsMax, Maya, Adobe Creative Suite) to fully satisfy the allocated and derived requirements for appearance, behavior, and performance. Analyzes the technical, logistical and cost risks associated with solutions, and make recommendations for mitigating risks. Apprises Project Engineers and the Chief Engineer of progress on milestones associated with individual and team tasks. Leads, advises and coaches 3D Graphics Artists to overcome challenges they face Prepares the documentation, data, and presentation material needed to support design reviews and validates the correctness, completeness, and feasibility of solutions. Presents technical information. Satisfies all action items identified by IPTs during reviews, and ensures that all exit criteria are satisfied. Demonstrates strong coordination, organization, and communication abilities and the ability to work under pressure and time constraints. Ensures timely completion of assigned tasks and correctness of deliverables. Ensures quality control and configuration management of visual content, and the integration of visual content with interoperating software components. Develops and modifies test plans and procedures to validate the functional correctness and desired performance of the final product. Supports testing at all levels (e.g., unit, functional, system and Hardware/Software Integration (HSI)), test readiness reviews, and customers' acceptance testing. Performs the resolution of assigned defects, and the configuration and delivery of the final product. Supports the delivery of assigned items required by the Technical Support Data Package and the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL). Assists technical writers with documenting visual contents' design, interfaces, and use.
