Matters"What's the job?The Graphic Designer is a creative and
motivated design professional with both print and digital
experience - who is detail-oriented, energetic, and passionate
about design. They are highly organized and focused, with the
ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, and able to
deliver targeted, creative solutions under pressure.The Graphic
Designer is a vital member of the Corporate Marketing team, and
will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects for
both the Saint-Gobain and CertainTeed corporate brands, as well as
the individual business units. Success in this role requires an
in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques.
Executing marketing and communications projects from conception to
production, including digital assets, brochures, posters, campaigns
and presentations.
- Design and develop innovative creative solutions, from concept
through production
- Work cross-functionally with other business teams to execute on
creative design needs on strategic initiatives, including
participating in intake meetings, brainstorming and developing
creative concepts.
- Produce and edit clean, eye-catching, brand-consistent designs
for print and digital collateral - including logos, illustrations,
infographics, signage, social media posts, animations, brochures,
emails, presentation decks, and other marketing collateral.
- Quick turn-around on simple production requests, with attention
to detail
- Manage multiple projects and work with multiple disciplines at
one time
- Ensure the products created are user-friendly and convey brand
consistency with all projects.Our customer is our internal
stakeholder(s) and our commitment to service is of primary
importance. Therefore, the Graphic Designer will work as part of
the team, utilizing digital tools and platforms to maintain regular
communication on progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure
stakeholder satisfaction throughout the planning and execution of
projects and deliverables. This person will review current
processes and develop documented SOPs that will be integrated into
the service-level agreement (SLA) between Corporate Marketing and
business clients, and a source to evaluate overall team
performance.
Required Qualifications #2 "Your Skills Matter"What do you bring?
- BA in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or relevant field
- Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a similar design or agency
role
- Robust design portfolio with combination of print and web
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of typographic, digital and
print design
- Ability to take feedback and conceptualize strong visual
interpretations.
- Well-developed partnering and relationship-building
skills.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication
skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines on multiple projects
simultaneously
- Ability to Work Independently and as a Team
- Self-motivated, organized, and flexible - with a positive
attitude and sense of humor.
- Working knowledge of standards for accessibility
- Expert, hands-on knowledge of the Adobe and Microsoft
Suites
- Operating knowledge of Mac and/or PC platforms
- Knowledge of printing procedures and have the ability to
produce accurate files to supply to vendors
- Must have working knowledge of UX/UI design theories,
practices, and deliverables
- Motion graphic experience a plus!
- Experience in utilizing and maintaining web-based project
management and collaboration tools such as Basecamp, Trello, Slack,
SmartSheet, MS Teams, Yammer, etc., a plus Additional Information
