This position will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of internal and external (GAAP) consolidated financial reporting, working with our external auditors, preparing various annual and quarterly controls, and assisting with month end close process. The manager will also participate in the preparation of reports and analyses in areas such as forecasts, financial plans and variance analyses. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: -

• Assist in the preparation of the consolidated GAAP financial statements reporting package and analysis. This includes review departmental journal entries and reconciliations and the review of results, ensure financials are reported in accordance with GAAP, analyzing variances, and other financial reporting schedules.
• Oversee the completion and maintaining proper documentation for certain processes and controls reporting related.
• Ad hoc reporting/analytical work and technical accounting research as needed, including but not limited to purchase accounting.
• Perform comprehensive research and analysis; ability to present and explain results.REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business area required. MBA or relevant graduate degree a plus.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance requirements is a plus
  • Familiar with technical accounting memorandums and complex accounting issues and pronouncements
  • Timeshare / Hospitality industry experience a plus
  • CPA highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate effectively, as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Experience working with complex consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and reclassifications.
  • Strong analytical skill with the ability to effectively communicate results.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint at an intermediate or higher level.
  • Understanding of reconciliation processes and controls.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, detail-orientated and the ability to prioritize assignments and collaborate with team members in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to establish productive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 is a plus.
