Job Description:

In this corporate role for NUC University, the Social Media Communications Specialist reports directly to the Marketing Director, working with the Senior Leadership Team, including opportunities to support business strategic initiatives for special communications and events. As part of our marketing team, you will play a key role in the development and distribution of content intended but not limited to Social Media engagement including video, pictures, graphics and copy. The ideal candidate in this position would be resourceful self-starter in content generation to tell stories through various Social Media channels and confident to lead Facebook live sessions at a given location.Minimum requirements:Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations or related areas 3 years of experienceTravel requirement of up to 75%Responsibilities:Development of engaging content, telling stories in appropriate format native to each platformImplement social media strategies to maintain continuous growth of our brand awareness across all of our Social Media channels and our websiteSocial Listening - Actively monitor the sentiment and perception of our brand on the web and well as gaining a clear understanding of what type of content our audiences are most responsive to Collaborate with our SEO article development agency, to publish of articles in the blog section of our website expand reach within our Social Media channels Manage comments and conversations within the respective Social Media channels and triage communication by department / campus accordinglyPartner with all of our campuses and their local student service coordinator resource in the development of content based on student and campus activity Keep campus Social Media accounts current with fresh and relevant content and events that add value to our audience of followersGrow existing Social Media channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, including new and upcoming relevant networksMonitor and analyze growing trends and viral content in Social Media that are relevant to our brands and for our content generation purposes Provide coverage of campus events in an informative and attractive way throughout our Social Media platformsActively seek for potential partnership opportunities with influencers Stay up to date with best practices and monitor social media strategies of leaders within the industry we serve, including our competitorsJob Requirements:Strong copywriting skills, experienced writing compelling blog articles and Social Media adsProven example of managing and growing Social Media accountsExperience listening Social Media audiences across multiple channels and developing engaging contentExperience managing multiple locations / multiple accounts within the same platform (Google, Facebook, etc) Experience developing and maintaining templates and editorial calendars for Social MediaCandidate must be up to date with the most current best practices and tools in the industry Experience running and managing boosted postsProficiency in MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and ExcelExcellent analytical and time-management skills Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishStrong organizational, planning and follow-through personality to get things done and completed in a timely mannerSkills with photography for photo editing and graphics: Photoshop / Canva Search Engine Optimization experienceExperience with Social Media management tools such as Sendible or Agora Proficient in Social Media copywriting"Employer with Equal Employment Opportunity for Women, Minorities, Veterans, and Persons with Disabilities" PI208253456
