to name a few. The Opportunity:The UCF College of Engineering and
Computer Science is seeking qualified candidates for an
Administrative Assistant I position. The Administrative Assistant I
will provide administrative support within academic or
administrative offices. This position will receive, screen, and
direct incoming calls, visitors, mail, and e-mail. This position
will prepare and maintain files and records according to
established guidelines. This position will use business software
applications to prepare correspondence. The Administrative
Assistant I may arrange meetings, coordinate travel, and track
expenses and other budgetary transactions. This position will be a
part-time 20 hours per week position. Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and direct visitors to proper meeting locations
and appointments.
- Handle inbound calls and direct callers to proper
individuals.
- Respond to inquiries regarding schedules/agendas, room, and/or
meeting coordination.
- Direct requests and inquiries to appropriate individuals as
needed.
- Maintain relationships with external constituents (i.e.,
interviewees, vendors).
- Contribute to the planning of conferences and/or meetings.
- Order office supplies and maintains inventory.
- Ensure office machines (e.g. phones, printers, copiers, and
fax) are in working order and may perform routine troubleshooting,
as needed. Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent
and 0+ years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications:
- Receptionist and customer service experience.
- Scanning and filing experience.
- Word and Outlook experience.
- Mail sorting experience.
