Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Position Summary: Reporting to
the COO, and working closely with executives, managers, and
departments across the organization, the Finance Director oversees
all financial activities of the company and provides financial
leadership and support to affiliated businesses as needed. The
Finance Director is an active and contributing member of the
organization’s strategic planning efforts, working
cross-functionally to provide financial insight, coordination, and
perspective in both near-term and long-term strategy development,
including the creation and maintenance of multi-year financial
models. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of the
Finance department: responsible for all financial reporting, the
Finance Director develops and implements accounting policies,
systems, and procedures to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant
financial reporting for the executive leadership team. Oversee
accounting staff to ensure all accounting and financial reporting
activities are completed accurately and on time. Provide management
oversight for weekly cash flow and accounts payable decisions.
Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow statements and related
financial reports for creditors and executive leadership.
Communicate with and meet financial partners, including lenders and
banking institutions, as needed; maintain key banking
relationships. Develop special financial reports, analyses, and
performance metrics for leadership. Partner with executive
leadership to coordinate, support, and oversee the annual budgeting
process. Oversee the development and implementation of accounting
policies, procedures, and systems to ensure accurate financial
reporting. Provide oversight and coordination for all external
audits. Oversee and coordinate all company tax filings and returns.
Stay current on accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and
relevant industry developments. Maintain professional memberships
and participation in relevant trade or financial associations.
Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or
business management. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior
accounting or finance leadership role. Experience working within a
privately held organization preferred. Experience supporting
multiple business units or affiliated entities is a plus. Strong
budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling skills. Proven
leadership and people management capabilities. Excellent
communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
and leadership levels. Working knowledge of financial, accounting,
and business systems. Ability to adapt quickly and operate
effectively in a changing environment.
