Job Description Job Description General Placement Service is recruiting for their client, a financially strong and growing insurance organization seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead reinsurance accounting and support enterprise-level financial reporting and process improvement initiatives. This role oversees reinsurance accounting activities, ensures accurate financial reporting, and serves as a technical resource to senior leadership. The position plays a key role in strengthening internal controls, supporting audits, and driving efficiencies across finance operations. Key Responsibilities Manage reinsurance accounting, including premium calculations, payables, recoverables, invoicing, and general ledger reconciliation Ensure reinsurance activity is accurately reflected in financial statements and regulatory reporting, including Schedule F Research and resolve reconciliation issues and oversee corrective actions Analyze reinsurance cost trends and explain significant variances to leadership Support monthly close, consolidated financial reporting, and internal control compliance Partner with external auditors and regulatory examiners Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including process redesign, documentation, and automation Provide technical accounting guidance to FP&A and cross-functional teams Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and special projects
