In this role, you will lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services to our clients. You will be responsible for the preparation and review of federal and state income taxes for partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts and individuals. You will build new and existing client relationships and manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals. You will prepare internal memoranda, written correspondence, and other documents for submission to the IRS or Treasury Department. You will manage, develop, and mentor staff on projects and assess their performance through formal periodic reviews and informal feedback. You will assist partners with billing the clients you manage.   • Manage tax compliance and planning for a portfolio of clients, including corporate and partnership taxes, individual tax returns, and tax preparation
  • Review and sign off on tax returns prepared by staff members
  • Provide tax advice and guidance to clients on complex tax matters
  • Research and analyze tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service
  • Train and mentor staff members to ensure that they are up-to-date on tax laws and regulations
  • Participate in business development activities and assist with the growth of the tax practiceQualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    • CPA certification required
    • 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and review
    • Strong knowledge of corporate and partnership taxes, individual tax returns, and tax preparation
    • Ability to research and analyze complex tax issues and provide practical solutions
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
