Job Details
This position will report directly to the Controller in addition to collaborating with Regional Directors of Operations and site Office Managers. This position will have high visibility to executive leadership and have a strong voice in the development of departmental procedure and strategies.
Responsibilities:
--- Prepare and maintain timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
--- Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
--- Post and review journal entries.
--- Oversee the accurate recognition and recording of revenues through resident lease charges.
--- Prepare monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts - identifying necessary adjustments as they occur and taking action to correct them.
--- Ensuring timely recognition of cash activity through the maintenance and analysis of monthly Bank Reconciliations and Cash Flow Statements
--- Analyze Income Statement reports for trend and variance notation.
--- Assist with external auditor requests for financial reviews and tax preparation.
--- Ability to assist with additional requests where needed.
Requirements:
--- 2+ years of accounting experience
--- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance or related field
--- The ability to analyze trends and make decisions based on data.
--- Established multitasking and time management abilities.
--- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
