SUMMARY

Prepares and processes all outgoing premium transactions for all lines of business serviced by Premium Accounting. Maintains professional and courteous relationships with both internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following:

• Issues return premium checks.
• Issues commission checks.
• Answer refunds and commission related questions.
• Adjust commissions.
• Maintain and resolve suspense and various accounting reports.
• Reconciles and balances cash, premiums, refunds and commissions on a daily and monthly basis.
• Assist Corporate Accounting with premium and cash variances.
• Collect unpaid return commission.
• Re-issue checks, process voids and stop payments.
• Payment services, EFT and commission account set up and cancellations.
• Process direct deposit and positive pay.
• Process payments returned by the bank (NSF's, ACH rejects).
• Works and communicates with a variety of internal and external customers regarding the processing of policy transactions (systems, billing, underwriting, etc.).
• Works closely with underwriting and policy processing in order to maintain the most efficient and effective procedures on an ongoing basis.
• Document activity on policies.
• Maintain accounting spreadsheets.
• Other duties as assigned.
