Job Description:

We are currently seeking an Accounting Assistant , to join our CPA Firm located in the South Orlando area. This is a full time, year-round position, with future advancement for clear thinking individual and compensation will be commensurate with work experience and salary history. Overtime work may be required.Qualified individual will possess a positive attitude, have a highly motivated personality, be self-starter and proactive. Position also requires working well with a variety of clients and staff, heavy phone volume and the ability to learn fast. It is essential to be a dependable team player. The qualified candidate will be a motivated, upbeat individual who is able to multi-task to meet tight deadlines in an ever-changing, fast paced environment with attention to detail. Position Duties Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to: Answering and directing all incoming telephone calls. Maintaining and improving systems to ensure the firm's administration is running smoothly. Perform administrative functions in a paperless environment. Interact with management, employees, and vendors with high degree of professionalism. Work independently and with minimal supervision. Complete assigned duties projects by assigned deadline. Data entry, book appointments, update database & internet research. Reconciles bank statements. Financial statement preparation General administrative and accounting assistance with various tasks that arise. Position Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Proficient in QuickBooks and/or standard accounting software. Strong administrative skills including typing, scanning, and faxing. Impeccable organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills. Excellent punctual attendance is essential and necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent editing and proofreading skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction from multiple parties. Must be highly organized, process and detailed oriented. Professional physical appearance is required. Openness and willingness to learn new things and adapt quickly. Must be able to demonstrate discretion in handling highly confidential information. Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background and a drug test screening. Bilingual English/Spanish is a MUST. Preferred: QuickBooks Online/Desktop experience highly desired Knowledge of Tax Preparation Basic Bookkeeping experience Bachelor's Degree.Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hourBenefits: Paid time offSchedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday OvertimeApplication Question(s): What is your work availability?
