Great opportunity for a Staff Accountant experienced with utilizing GAAP accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for ISO compliant business operations. In this role as a Staff Accountant you will be responsible for examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting records for the purpose of preparing statements as well as maintain the accuracy and reconciliation of accounting records and billing. For this role as a Staff Accountant your duties will include processing of bi-weekly payroll, assisting with month end and year end closings, preparing/reviewing billings, performing accounts payable responsibilities, and interpreting accounts, records, and financial data for management. As a Staff Accountant for this organization a minimum of 3 years Government contracting accounting experience, working knowledge of full accounting cycle, knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and general filing requirements for various state agencies, as well as strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required. As a Staff Accountant for this organization, knowledge of Deltek GCS system as well as knowledge of ADP payroll system will be a plus!
